How To Prevent Neck Wrinkles – Get Rid of Sagging Neck Without Surgery

1. Applying Proper Sun and UV Protection

Over exposure to sunlight is strongly associated with the development of elastosis or the breaking down of elastic tissue or collagen fibers on the skin. The effects of sun exposure become prominent after an accumulated amount of time. Therefore, it is important to sunscreen products with a minimum sun protection factor or SPF of 15. These products should likewise contain ingredients that block out UVA and UVB rays and should be applied all over the neck.

2. Neck exercises

Do neck exercises regularly to tone your neck muscles and look years younger. Sit up straight with your head and neck straight, and place the palm of your right hand just above your ear. Using resistance, try to touch your ear to right shoulder. Do not move your head, but keep it straight so you can feel the resistance. Hold for five seconds, then repeat on the left side. Do this from the front to back as well, to get all neck muscles. You can do this several times a day. You can do it at work or while watching television.

3. Antiwrinkle cream

Apply an antiwrinkle cream moisturizer daily. Using a circular motion, work the moisturizer into your skin from under your chin down to your cleavage line. Morning is the best time to do this.

4. Exfoliate the skin

Exfoliate your neck once or twice a week. Exfoliate your neck at least twice a week. This will rid your skin of dead skin cells and keep the skin fresh and smooth Remember to apply moisturizer liberally after exfoliating to avoid dry skin patches.

5. Eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and drink plenty of water

People who want to have skin a clear, healthy, and youthful appearance should eat a balanced diet that is rich in antioxidants  and contain sufficient fiber and protein.  Fruits and vegetablescan be a good source of antioxidants. Also you should drink at least eight eight-ounce glasses of water per day.This keep the cells well hydrated and makes your skin look younger.

6. Quit smoking

Most people know that smoking can cause cancer. Smoking also restricts blood flow to the skin making your complexion dull, and causes wrinkles and  and fine lines.

7. Limit alcohol consumption

Moderate red wine consumption may be good for you, but remember that  you should avoid hard liquors and cocktail drinks. Alcohol dehydrates the body, puts a strain on the liver and also affects the absorption of nutrients leading to premature ageing of the skin.
